We offer a range of group activities and services from our administrative base at Observer House, Shrewsbury and other locations in the county.

MONDAY CHAT – 1.00 pm - 3.00 pm

This is an open group. It offers a friendly environment where people can come along and have a chat and be accepted as they are. The sessions are generally informal and unstructured, although we do offer outings and activities on a regular basis.

TUESDAY UNITY – 11.00 am – 1.00 pm

Unity is a ‘closed group’ that offers support to anyone whose life is affected by mood swings, depression or associated problems. It offers opportunities for support and focussed discussion on a personal level. Anyone wishing to join the group should ring the office on 01743 368647 for details.

TUESDAY WORLD DANCE- 10.00am-11.00am

Come along and enjoy the fun and health benefits of dancing to music from around the world with friends you haven't met yet. Only £1.50 per session.

TUESDAY MIND @ PLAY - 6.00pm - 9.00pm

Mind @ Play is an open group for anyone age 18+. The evening is held by a group of young volunteers offering support and a listening ear and is a fun social evening with a chilled atmosphere. You can visit the Mind @ Play group on www.facebook.com

WEDNESDAY CHAT – 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm

This group operates on the same basis as the Monday group.

THURSDAY WOMEN IN MIND - 10.30 am – 1.00 pm

Women In Mind offers friendship and support to all women and has a varied programme including art and craft activities. If you would like to be contacted before you visit the group this can be arranged. We regret we are unable to offer crèche facilities.

RELAXATION GROUP – 1.00 – 2.00 pm

We offer a relaxation every Tuesday, everyone is welcome.

WALKING GROUP

To enjoy the health benefits of a nice walk in Shropshire and a friendly chat along the way, the walking group happens on the last Friday of every month. A minibus leaves Observer House at 12.30. Contact the office for more details on 01743 368647.

LUDLOW

LUDLOW EVENING GROUP:

This group meets every Wednesday evening 7.30 pm, at Ludlow Methodist Church, Broad Street, offering support, friendship, refreshments and a wide range of social activities, including outings. Men and women of all ages welcome.

LUDLOW LUNCH GROUP:

We have lunches at the Methodist Church on the first and third Tuesday of every month for a nominal fee. We eat at 1.00 pm. Please pre-book for friendship and food.

WHITCHURCH

A new group for Shropshire Mind has begun in Whitchurch. The Turnaround Group meets every Monday from 10.30 am to 1.00pm at the Senior Citizens' Hut at Pearl Yard in Whitchurch, for more information call Shropshire Mind on 01743 368647
