Mental Health Outreach Support Workers Required

Shropshire Mind are currently recruiting for two 30 hours per week Outreach Support Workers.

We have some exciting opportunities to work as part of the Shropshire Mind team providing support to people who live with long-term mental ill health. The new positions will involve working with people in the community, supporting them to enhance their self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.

If you have experience of working and supporting people within the mental health sector, have an insight into service provision and are passionate and dedicated to supporting people with a truly person-centered approach, then we would like to hear from you.

The successful candidates will provide outcome led, recovery-orientated peer support; facilitating opportunities to achieve practical goals that will enhance lives and enable people to live well with their mental health.

Rate of pay: £9.10 per hour plus training and ongoing support

Hours of work will be predominantly Monday – Friday

Mental Health Support Workers Required

We currently have some exciting opportunities to work as part of the Shropshire Mind team providing support to people who live with long-term mental ill health. The new positions will involve working with people in our newly commissioned Crisis Cafes in Shrewsbury and Oswestry.

The cafes will be open four evenings each week in Shrewsbury and two evening each week in Oswestry.

The cafes are designed to provide a safe place where people can go to be in a calm and reassuring environment. Staff and volunteers will be available to provide listening and support to reduce any immediate crisis and to form a safety plan, drawing on strengths, resilience and coping mechanisms to help to manage health and well being.

If you have experience of working and supporting people within the mental health sector, have an insight into service provision and are passionate and dedicated to supporting people with a truly person-centered approach, then we would like to hear from you.

Rate of pay: £9.10 per hour plus training and ongoing support

Hours of work will be evenings Monday – Saturday
